CRIS FM started broadcastings from the rooftop of a Fort McMurray, AB Radio Station. One man, owner and operator Chris Murphy, took it upon himself to give the people what they want. Without actual broadcasting equipment, he started screaming every broadcast and song. It was very good.Â

OG announcer Mike Booth ignited the Nickelback obsession and secured himself a spot amongst the best of the best. Nickelback heard of the idea, loved it (who wouldn't), and decided to front Mr. Murphy the cash to start-up.

Teenage band Extremus came to the home of James from Ominous Eclipse to get their EP mixed in 2016. They didn't have a USB stick, so they brought their entire desktop computer. The band broke up before the EP came out, but the tracks were so good that the release took the Ottawa scene by storm.Â
